Mustaccioli are rhomboidal-shaped biscuits, generally they are light purple and they taste of wine and spices. Ingredients: flour, sugar, Barbera wine, cloves and cinnamon.
Area of production
Mustaccioli are produced in the bottom-valley villages of the Cuneo area, in particular in the Po Valley.
History
Mustaccioli were already produced in the 19th century in the Cuneo province. Originally they were produced in Revello, where they are still available in the local bakeries.
