The spotlight is on the fourth edition of the Roero Days event, an enological event dedicated to the great wines of the Roero Denomination and organized by the Consortium for the Protection of the Roero. The Roero Days 2019 will be held in Bologna on Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April 2019 at Palazzo Re Enzo.

Dynamic and itinerant event, since the first edition has always been held in different cities: in 2016 at the Reggia di Venaria (TO), in 2017 at the Navigli Museum (MI) and in 2018 at home, at the Castle of Guarene (CN ). For 2019 the choice fell on the city of Bologna, which has always been synonymous with food and wine excellence, with the aim of further expanding the range of the Roero’s historical wine culture: the Re Enzo Palace, a prestigious structure twelfth century located in the city center.
Great news of the Roero Days 2019: protagonists of the event will be the first bottles recently released on the market bearing the names of the various MGA, the Additional Geographic Mentions – Italian conversion of the French cranes – indicators of the most suitable vineyards for the production of quality. Ambassadors, as always, of the event and the labels will be the Producers of the Roero DOCG: protagonists this year 59 wineries, whose representatives will be each at their own tasting table to present the wines and tell their story.

The Roero Days 2019 will animate the city of Bologna with a lively and heterogeneous program, which wants to welcome a diversified public: professionals, enthusiasts, curious and gourmets!
A two-day marathon in the name of good wine: numerous tasting workshops, presentations and meetings organized by important people in the wide world of enology are planned: Edmondo Bonelli (naturalist), Dario Cappelloni (Essential Guide to Italy), Giuseppe Carrus (Gambero Rosso), Daniele Cernilli (Director of Doctor Wine), Andrea Dani (Italian Sommelier Association), Gianni Fabrizio (curator of the Gambero Rosso Italian Wines Guide), Fabi or Giavedoni (curator of Slow Wine) , Vittorio Manganelli (enogastronomic critic, author of the Italian wine Atlas – 2015), Paolo Zaccaria (author of the e-book Wines of Roero).
There will also be a note of good food: in fact, all the laboratories that provide the tasting of at least 6 wines will be followed by gastronomic tastings proposed by the starred chef Davide Palluda – by prior booking on the Consortium website.
Finally, Roero Days also means spreading the 360-degree Roero culture; therefore, the “Roero” photographic exhibition by Carlo Avataneo will also be on display during the two days of the event. A tribute to images of the Unesco Heritage of Piedmont: eight sections and 39 photographs to tell the Roero, the landscapes of the wine, the fortresses, the trees, the typical elements of the landscape, the castles, the work, the traditions and the cellars.
The exhibition will be located in the loggia on the first floor of Palazzo Re Enzo.
