Also the city of Bra celebrates the genius of Leonardo da Vinci 500 years after his death, with an exhibition at Palazzo Mathis, thanks to the collaboration of the Turin company Dastor. The title of the installation received in the halls of the noble floor is “The future arrives on time. A brief survey of an ante litteram engineer, Leonardo Da Vinci“. To be observed, in the exhibition, there are some models of the curious “machines” designed by Leonardo da Vinci: the scale reproductions are accompanied by the related drawings and were made by Mario Bombara, president of the Racconigese Modeling Association. Some illustrative cards explain the genesis, nature and purpose of the projects ranging from combat wagons to cranes and to the winches: through the multimedia displays located in the halls, it is also possible to “browse” some of Leonardo’s codes to which the scholar Giovanni Piumati dedicated his research in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The exhibition is open to the public on Thursday and Friday from 9 to 12.30 and from 15 to 18 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 12.30. Free entry.
