“Riserva della Famiglia” Barbera d’Asti Superiore Nizza

The history of the Coppo company intertwines with the one of the Piedmont wine and with the development of the village of Canelli, land of the Italian sparkling wines. This is a story about tradition and a courageous vision of the future, which shows an unconditional love for the native lands, the vines and the long family tradition. The origins of this company date back to 1892 and for more than 120 years have been bounded to the same family, which is, still today, the single-owner. The ability to lead and manage the vineyards, the vinification and the bottling with the family label make this winery one of the most ancient in Italy. To the point than, in 2012, Unioncamete added the company in the national register of the historical enterprises, which count more than a century of uninterrupted commercial activity in the same sector.

About… Barbera.

From a single vineyard, located in Castelnuovo Calcea, in the “Nizza” area, is produced the “Riserva della Famiglia” Barbera. It is created thanks to only one vineyard, which is one of the most ancient and beautiful among those of Coppo. This wine is produced in a very limited number of bottles and only during vintages of extraordinary value.
