In Valdieri the exhibition “Fragments of history: living and dying in the Gesso Valley 3.000 years ago”

Saturday 15th June will open the Valdieri Info Point, located in Casa Lovera, which hosts the local Museum where you can visit the permanent exhibition curated by the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts, Landscape of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo.

At the Info Point it will be possible to find information and promotional material about the Gesso Valley and, more generally, about the Cuneo area.

Three rooms fitted with caskets and panels which will show you finds of the Gesso valley and, in particular, the ones brought to the light in the protohistoric necropolis of Valdieri.

This summer the Protected Area of the Maritime Alps and the Municipality of Valdieri, with the support of the ATL Cuneo, will offer to the visitors guided tours of the exhibition and to the local archaeological park.

The first visit s scheduled on Sunday 16th June: 2 pm Museum visit and then (2.45 pm) walk in the archaeological park with visit to the necropolis and to the Bronze age hut reconstruction. At 3.30 pm visit to the Museum exhibition. The tour will be available also on 13th July.

Saturday 22nd June visits to the Museum, the necropolis and the hut will take place at 2.30 pm and 4 pm (departure from the Archaeological Park). On Sunday, July 14th, visits will be at 10.30 am, 2.30 pm and 4 pm (departure from the archaeological park).

The exhibition “Frammenti di storia: vivere e morire in Valle Gesso 3.000 anni fa”  will be freely accessible during the opening times of the Info Point of Valdieri managed by the ATL del Cuneese:

– low season: from 15th to 30th June, Sat-Sun and holidays from 9 am  to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 to 5 pm.

– mid season: from 1st to 31st/07 and from 24th/08 to 2nd/09th Fri-Sat-Sun and holidays from 08:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 17 pm.

– high season: from  1st to 23rd/08 Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu 10 am- 4 pm; Fri-Sat-Sun and holidays from 08:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm.
