
From 9 am to 5 pm in the Piazzale Nord, many wood artists coming from all over Italy will enchant people creating wood carvings in front of the public. A special occasion to discover different artistic methods and interpretations, observing how to use wood to express emotions and how to work it with some “unconventional” tools.
The artist of the chainsaw Barbara Brisiu, from Borgo San Dalmazzo, will be present along with turners, modellers, sculptors, with the special participation of the Technical Schools San Carlo di Boves and the master craftsman Aldo Pellegrino, who will be the special guest of the event.
To anticipate the weekend it will be the ballroom dancing evening with Angelo and Marzia, scheduled on Thursday 25th July at 9 pm in Piazza del Municipio. In case of bad weather, the evening will take place in the school amphitheatre.
On Friday 26th July in the Library at 5 pm there will be “Limone in Rosa Passeggiata tra libri ed emozioni”, a special tour through books and emotions, organised by Vanda Chiappero and Federica Faccaro. Free admission. At 5.30 pm in Piazza del Municipio you will enjoy the live creation of handmade soap, in collaboration with the Saponificio Rose&Caprioli. During the evening a double appointment is scheduled at 9 pm the Teatro Alla Confraternita will host the first concert of the Limone Classica with the young talented students of the Conservatorio Ghedini Cuneo; while always at 9 pm, in the Chiesa del Convento, will take place the music and words recital “La storia di Miriam”, written and directed by Federica Faccaro.
Saturday 27th July at 9 pm, within the “Crear al País” (Create in the country) project, a series of meetings about the Occitan culture, will be presented the new musical-theatrical creation of Simone Lombardo and Ramà, inspired to the Provencal poem written by Frédéric Mistral “Calendal”.
Sunday 28th July the historical centre will host attractions and animation from the morning. If the Piazzale Nord will be liven up by the wood artists, in Piazza del Minicipio, instead, from 10 am to 5 pm, you will walk among the CRI Village (IRC Village), where you will assist life-saving manoeuvres demonstrations, as well as observing emergency vehicles and a nice photographic exhibition. Moreover for the little ones there will be clown shows and face painting. At 3 pm the music of the Banda from Saluzzo will liven up the event in Piazza San Sebastiano, followed by the Baby dance scheduled at 5 pm. At 8.30 pm in the Chiesa di San Pietrosi, the orchestral and choral Alpi del Mare Ensamble and the Philharmonic Choir from Nice will perform the great successes of Mozart, Handel and Vivaldi, directed by Giulio Magnanini. At 9 pm, instead, on the stage of the Teatro Alla Confraternita will take place the Laura Gioia Show “Il mondo delle donne”, a funny and iron pièce dedicated to the strange female universe, with the special participation of the singer Raffaella Buzzi and the tango dancers.
