6th September – Waiting for Cheese, live in Bra!
For the twelfth edition of “Cheese – Naturale is possible” (from 20th to 23rd September), Friday 6th September Bra celebrates with an evening entirely dedicated to the discovery of the city, including live concerts, shops open (from 8.30 pm) and food and wine. From 7pm to midnight in via Pollenzo, via Audisio, via Cavour and via Vittorio Emanuele II, exceptionally pedestrian up to the church of Santa Croce, seventeen groups will perform live in concerts and music shows, including jazz, popular music, swing, rock ‘ n roll, rockabilly, blues and country, accompanied by dance performances, waders, fire shows and Radio DJ BraOnTheRocks.
In Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, at 9.30 pm the Black Blues Brothers will offer an exceptional preview of the Festival “Di strada in strada”, scheduled for the following day: after a tour that has exceeded 500 performances, with more than 250 thousand spectators, the five wild acrobats present their acrobatic, comic and musical tribute the cult film “The Blues Brothers”, with the energy of Africa in their blood and an unmistakable rhythm and blues sound.
7th September – “Di strada in strada”
The appointment with wonder and magic returns under the Zizzola, the “Di strada in strada” festival is back. An event that has been characterized over the years by its fidelity to the original spirit of street art: no stages, no large structures, zero stands. A circle on the ground, the artist in the centre, the audience around, a “hat” to reward emotion and smiles.
From 7pm to 12am on Saturday 7th September in Via Pollenzo, via Audisio, via Cavour and via Vittorio the Diables and Karabassà will be staged: a unique production coming from Catalunia (Sant Cugat) which has been bringing the fire culture and its charm among the city streets for 25 years. Throughout the evening, 30 artists will perform a suggestive itinerant fire performance, drawing lines, curves and joints, including jugglers, fire eaters, illusionists and athletes.
Alongside the Diables, five musical groups and marching bands (including the Family band, the Pramaggiore Multikulti Experience and the Radiocorriere Swing) will offer live music and shows.
In Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, from 9.30 pm Mimo Chispa will offer his hilarious spectacle of optical illusions, surprises, fictions, actions and a lot of imagination to adults and children, in multiple replicas. The public will suggest a story and Mimo Chispa will invent, improvise and entertain, becoming a child in the park, a gunslinger in the Far West, a gigolo at the restaurant.
Great surprise at the end of the evening, entrusted to the thirty Diables de Sant Cugat directly in the heart of the historical city centre.
