The Wine Festival returns on Sunday, September 29th, on its 21st edition, to give you an event that brings the most representative wine expressions of the Langa and Roero area on stage throughout the city’s historic centre.
The initiative, promoted by Go Wine, has become over time an appointment much appreciated by the wine lovers, Italians and foreigners; a format that, again this year, will allow us to experience the itinerary from Piazza Risorgimento (Piazza Duomo) along the entire “Via Maestra” and Via Cavour, transforming the historic centre into an ideal “wine route” for a day.
The event involves the wine-making realities of many Langhe and Roero Municipalities, maintaining its connotation of festive event, which recalls the time and the joyful character of the grape harvest, with the presence of the local realities, cellars, wine shops and producer association.
From 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm the producers, organised through the participating Municipalities, will present their products for tasting and they will promote their territorial reality and their manifestations.
From the famous Barolo and Barbaresco, flagships of the territory, to the other noble wines of the Langhe and Roero: Nebbiolo d’Alba, Roero, Roero Arneis, Barbera d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, of Diano and of Dogliani, and many other wines still.
This event promises to be an extraordinary tasting counter with many labels (more than 750!); an extraordinary opportunity to discover new and different products, to savour the charm of a journey in the historical city centre, enjoying the hills around in Alba.
Each visitor will be able to have a tasting purchasing the glass and the pocket, with the possibility then to choose and compare the wines offered for tasting.
The event is enriched by the National Meeting of Go Wine members: for the third consecutive year, on the occasion of the Wine Festival, Go Wine members, coming from different parts of Italy, will gather for a moment of confrontation and debate on the activity of the Association.
THE LIST OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF LANGA AND ROERO PROTAGONISTS OF THE EVENT
The arrangement of the tasting tables will be organized in homogeneous areas so that visitors can ideally walk through the various production areas.
