“Da Cortile a Cortile” is a touring food and wine itinerary of flavours, traditions, art and music that will take place on 6th October 2019 and reservations are already open.
Eight stages are scheduled for this twenty-fourth edition of the event: we start from the aperitif with focaccia and Bra sausage proposed on the Ala of Corso Garibaldi to support with mixed starters at Palazzo Traversa, local vegetables with oil in the courtyard of the Scuole Medie Piumati, agnolotti with ragù at the “Velso Mucci” Institute, Piedmontese mixed boiled meat with sauces served at the Convitto della Provvidenza, the cheese and honey plateau inside the Former Men’s Schools and finally the dessert – a fantastic hazelnut cake with zabaglione – in the courtyard of Palazzo Garrone and the coffee, which will be served in the Zizzola park. All dishes will be accompanied by the great wines of Langhe and Roero.
The day will offer all the participants of the event many side events, starting with the free concert offered by the teachers of the civic institute “Gandino” (at 4 pm, in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà) and the chance to visit the photographic exhibition at Palazzo Mathis by Carlo Avataneo dedicated to the Roero (from Monday to Friday 9am/ 12.30pm-3pm-6pm; Saturday and Sunday 9am / 12.30pm. Free admission). As tradition, then, a steam train will arrive in the city, departing from Turin, on an unforgettable slow journey through the past (sold out).
