The central theme is the culture and traditions of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas, which are expressed through the scent. The passion for the world of smell, the intuition of its ability to open up to new knowledge and the awareness that perfume has profoundly marked the history and culture of man, are the cornerstones on which the artistic thought of furniture is defined olfactory notes by Stefania Rossi.
“The beautiful exhibition space of the Church – explains Dr. Rossi – will bring together the 3 olfactory installations dedicated to the Unesco territory of Langa, Roero and Monferrato presented in recent years in Alba on the occasion of the Vinum event (2019-2018-2017). The three installations, “In Loco Logo” 2019, “Dell’umano e divino sentire” 2018, “Soffio di divina bellezza 2017, draw inspiration from the heritage of values that our tradition is rich in (sacredness, territorial character, present, past , memoria ..) and constitute a reflection on the real possibility of experiencing our territory through all the senses, above all through the sense of smell ».
All the installations are in fact dedicated to the olfactory heritage of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato and, if on the one hand, they celebrate the cultural landscape, on the other, they are an investigation of the same territory through the nose to enhance precisely the traditions that belong to these places.
Stefania Rossi is chemist, pharmacist, olfactory creator of the collection of fragrances for the Acqua di Cherasco environment, which, born about ten years ago, represents a sensorial journey through the history, tradition and culture of Cherasco, a small jewel in the heart of the Langhe and tells this territory through the sense of smell.
