An excursion on an easy path in the woods, collecting chestnuts and learning all about this plant that has nourished mountain people for centuries.
And in the end: pancakes for everyone!
Itinerary: departure from Melle (650 m sl.m.), route to the villages upstream of the village, descent towards the Monumental Chestnut.
Technical data: very easy excursion, suitable for everyone as long as with a minimum walk; ; travel time about 2 hours excluding breaks; uphill altitude difference about 300 m; departure time 10.30 am; meeting place Melle, piazza Marconi near the Bar “Fioca”; packed lunch for participants and return around 3pm.
Clothing and equipment: easy hiking clothing, probably for cool conditions: windbreaker, fleece, gloves and hat, mountain boots or sneakers.
