Fiera di Vinadio: taste at the Eco-museums

After participating in the Rye Festival last August, the Ecomusei del Gusto project is preparing to participate in the 164th edition of the Fiera dei Santi scheduled from 25th to 27th October at Vinadio. On Sunday 27th October there will be numerous activities proposed by the project at the “Revelin” of the Forte Albertino di Vinadio, all with free and free participation. From 9.30 am to 6 pm a small market of typical products from the four valleys participating in the project will be set up (Stura, Gesso, Grana and Maira); from 10am to 11am and from 1pm to 2pm folk music will resound thanks to the Occitan group of the Shepherd’s Eco museum, while from 11am to 12.30am the Ecomuseum of the Upper Maira Valley will promote an Elvite La Meira dairy cheese making demonstration-laboratory. From 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm the Ecomuseo della Pastorizia will offer a demonstration-laboratory on herbs for distillates by the Artemy di Vinadio company, while the Eco museum Terra del Castelmagno and the Ecomuseo della Segale will be protagonists from 3 to 5.30 pm with a laboratory demonstration on flour and bread-making with rye flour by the Valgrana di Valgrana farm.

During the day during the fair it will be possible to visit the sheep on display, admire the display of Sambucana wool artefacts, try their hand at preparing typical corsets and witness demonstrations of ancient crafts. At 12.30 there will be a lunch of Sambucano lamb in the Albertino Fort.
