The month will open with “Sporchiamoci le mani“, an introductory laboratory for cyclo-mechanics for children between 9 and 14 years old, to discover, together with a cyclist tour guide of the Park, the abc of the maintenance of his bike.
Friday 8th November will be the turn of an initiative organized as part of the European project Interreg Alcotra CClimaTT: “Water Jump“, a meeting with Andreco, an environmental training engineer and artist by vocation, who studied the small glaciers still present in the Alps Maritime and threatened by global warming with the aim of creating a work that is both a warning and a reflection for change. The artist will be present at the Stadio del Nuoto to meet the public and explain his work from 15 to 18.
After the great appreciation met in the past programmes, Science cafes also come back for the fall, a new format that combines the pleasure of an aperitif with the popularization of science: in the informal atmosphere of a pub or bar, which facilitates and encourages the ‘interaction, a scientific communicator talks with the participants on environmental issues. On Friday 8 November at Open Baladin in Piazza Foro Boario we talk about bees with Paola Ferrazzi, Chiara Ferracini and Monica Vercelli (University of Turin, Department of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences) and Marco Bergero (Aspromiele), in “Disseminiamo biodiversity. Bees and climate change “.
We will talk about bicycles and sustainable mobility, instead, Saturday, November 16 at the Cinema Monviso, with the screening of the documentary “Gambe” made by the Michele Scarponi Foundation. After the screening, a debate with Marco Scarponi, Paolo Pinzuti (journalist) and Elisa Balsamo (cyclist) on how each of us can become ambassadors of the message ‘La Strada è di Tutti, starting with the most fragile’. The appointment is included in the Scrittorincittà town review and, as well as “Sporchiamoci le mani”, is realized within the project “Periferie al Centro” promoted by the Municipality of Cuneo.
November will end with an animated reading and creative workshop for children between 4 and 10 in Castelletto Stura, “The natural world and its secrets”, and leaves room for a December full of Christmas-themed events, such as “Ginger and cinnamon” , but not limited to, with “Objective Nature.
