Inspired to the images of Itaca nel sole, the feature film dedicated to the figure of Gian Piero Motti, defined as the “Cesare Pavese della montagna”, was presented on Wednesday 30th October at the headquarters of the former Marguareis Natural Park in Chiusa of Pesio. The official programme of the Mondovi Mountain Film 2019 is organized by the local CAI Section.
An unmissable appointment is scheduled on 7th November at 9.00 pm at the Baretti cinema in Mondovì with the screening of Free Solo, the documentary film of the National Geographic winner of the 2019 Oscar, focused on the extraordinary undertaking of Alex Honnold on El Captain. External appendix therefore, as mentioned, on 11th November in Villanova Mondovì (Teatro Garelli at 9.00 pm)
On November 14th at the Baretti of Mondovì, instead, an evening dedicated to mountaineering and ski mountaineering with Cerro Kishtwar will take place- A frozen story (a memory of the late David Lama, presented at the Trento Film Festival 2019), with the Regional preview of Beni – Speedtransalp by Dario Tubaldo (with the epic enterprise of Benedikt Böhm, able to cover 210 km and 10,000 m of elevation gain with mountaineering skis in only thirty-six hours) and with Grivola 2018, the Touring Club Italia Award in Orobie Film Festival 2019.
Finally, on 21st November, the last special guest, once again from the world of climbing: at 9.00 pm also at the Teatro Baretti, Trentino Rolando Larcher (SAT 2019 Mountaineering Award) will talk with Giovanni Massari, for a chat among photos, videos and life stories full of adrenaline.
