It should be noted that the excursions will be conducted by a Naturalistic Guide recognized by the Piedmont Region; who reserves the right to modify the itinerary, even the day before the excursion, in the event of bad weather conditions or objective dangers, subject to telephone notice to the participants.
Sunday 8th December
Winter in Balma
Discovering Balma Boves, the now famous suburb under the rocks, in winter. A different way to discover, or rediscover, this corner of paradise, in a different perspective, in the winter landscape.
At the end of the excursion possibility of lunch and admission to the Monviso Resort (www.resortmonviso.com), to end the day with taste and relaxation.
Technical data: itinerary suitable for everyone (children aged 7-8 years old) as long as they are normally used to do physical activity; travel time approximately 2 h round trip, excluding breaks; uphill altitude difference about 150 m; departure time 10 am; Sanfront meeting point (contact the guide for details). Return at 13.00. At the end of the excursion, there is the possibility to have lunch at the special price at the Monviso Resort (€ 18).
Clothing and equipment: mountain boots, clothing suitable for winter weather conditions (windbreaker, fleece, gloves, hat), water bottle, sticks (optional).
In case of abundant snow (however quite rare in the area) you need snowshoes and poles (which can be rented).
Participation fee: € 7 Naturalistic Guide + entrance and guided visit to the Balma Boves museum; € 8 per membership card (which provides accident insurance); € 8 children under 14 (card + guide).
At the end of the trip, possibility of lunch and admission to the Monviso Resort, to continue the day with taste and relaxation (booking for lunch and Resort entrance to be confirmed upon registration).
Optional costs: € 18 lunch (appetizers, first course, dessert water and coffee); € 15 Resort fee for 1h; 30 € Resort entrance fee for the whole afternoon (courtesy kit included: bathrobe and slippers).
