The Museum of Ceramics in Mondovì celebrates Ezio Gribaudo’s 90th anniversary, with “From Casa Jorn to the Museum of Ceramics in Mondovì”: an exhibition that shows the lesser-known part of the master, where natives have a strong link with the geographical area of the lower Piedmont. In the exhibition, which will be inaugurated on November 29th, a series of decorated dishes are displayed for the first time in Piedmont; the project was born from the wake of other monochrome researches conducted by Gribaudo, starting from the Flani and Logogrifi who gave him great fame. The works come from the exhibition “Return to Jorn’s House. Tribute to Ezio Gribaudo “, which was organised in Albissola, that wished to dedicate this summer to the master from Turin and who now moves to the Museum of Ceramics in Mondovì to enrich himself with new itineraries and exhibition interpretations. Ezio Gribaudo will participate in the inauguration along with Andreina d’Agliano, President of the Museum of Ceramics Foundation of Mondovì; Luca Bochicchio, director of MuDA and of Casa Museo Jorn, who will give a lecture on the relationship between Ezio Gribaudo and Asger Jorn.
The Mondovì exhibition is part of the initiatives organized in Piedmont as a tribute to Gribaudo, one of the greatest Italian painters who was born in the twentieth century, a multi-faceted character with many interests: graphic designer, publisher, collector, cultural promoter. It can be visited until 12th January 2020, it is realised with the collaboration of the Gribaudo Archive of Turin which is curating other initiatives linked to the anniversary in various Italian public venues linked to the professional and human path of Ezio Gribaudo.
