The calendar of events in the city organized for the festivities by the Municipality of Bra and Ascom continues. In the weekend before Christmas, there are many proposals for adults and children, including art, nativity scenes, workshops in city museums and theme animations.
On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December 2019 itinerant animations, musical entertainment and Santa Clauses through the streets of the centre, with open shops and the magical atmosphere of the period, enriched with lights and festively decorated trees.
A pleasant tradition that repeats itself, Saturday 21st (8.30 pm – 11.00 pm) and Sunday 22nd (5.00 pm – 8.00 pm) the Living Nativity of the Parishes of Bra returns to the Wing of Corso Garibaldi. The following week, Thursday 26 and Sunday 29 (from 3.30 to 7.00 pm) the suggestion of the living Nativity will be staged in the Bandito hamlet, in the parish church, in an event conceived by the volunteers of the hamlet and of the parish Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
Numerous activities are organized for the little ones in the city’s civic museums. At the Toy Museum on Saturday 21st at 3.30pm and at 5pm you can have fun with “Il Natale di Greta”, a workshop for children and families during which you can create Christmas decorations with recycled materials. The following day, Sunday 22nd, always in the structure of via Guala 45, the “Christmas under the sea” is staged: visit, animated reading, puppet workshop of the characters of history and finally staging of the story heard. On Monday 23rd December, from 9am to 12.30pm at the Museum of Art, History and Archeology of Palazzo Traversa (via Parpera 4), a workshop dedicated to children aged 6 to 12, to create a fantastic Christmas tree together. The appointment, at a cost of 5 euros per child, is by reservation required on 0172.423880.
Also the art will be one of the protagonists of the weekend: Sunday, December 22nd at 4pm will inaugurate at Palazzo Mathis (piazza Caduti per la Libertà 20) the photographic exhibition “Alza La Testa”, by Emanuele Galante in collaboration with the Emmaus Project . The exhibition tells in pictures the meeting between Galante and the people who attend the activities organized in collaboration with the Social Services in the territory of Bra. “Raise your head” will be open until February 2nd, 2020 with the following schedule: Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 12.30pm.
