On Monday 30th December 2019 at 9 pm the Piedmont Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Paul Emmanuel Thomas, will offer an enjoyable programme, on the notes of some of the most loved arias.
We will go to Austria, with the inevitable Blue Danube of Strauss, to continue the “journey” to England with Weber’s Invitation to Dance and the orchestra marches by Edward Elgar, in Spain with the involving Popular Dances, in France with the Overture de Raymond ou le secret de la reine by Ambroise Thomas, in Russia with the famous march of The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, in the Czech Republic with the Slavic Dances of Dvorak, in Norway with Suite n. 1 by Grieg Peer Gynt, without forgetting Italy, with the wonderful overture of Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco.
A toast will follow in the foyer of the theatre.
