Thursday 26th December, the visit to the Castle is enriched with curiosities regarding the Christmas holidays. The Racconigese residence was never visited in winter, but it certainly offers ideas for telling little-known anecdotes concerning the private life of the Royal family especially between the late ‘800 and early’ 900 when the parties were divided between public and private moments and the exchange of gifts was an expected ritual and a way for the Sovereigns to show their attention towards the people who stood beside them and towards the poorer social classes.
If you want to know if the Savoy preferred the tree or the crib, you just have to participate in the visit.
The proposal is part of the “Taste us taste!” Project, candidate by ATL Cuneese for the 2019 Call L.R 14/2016 art.21 of the Piedmont Region.
To make you completely immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere we suggest taking advantage of the extraordinary openings of the Nativity scenes of San Domenico and the Church of the Gesù as well as the themed setting in the Confraternity of San Giovanni Decollato with the paintings of the master Carlo Sismonda.
