The first big event of 2020 will be the Limone Light, music and fire, scheduled for Thursday 2nd January, now a regular appointment for the Limonese winter. The event, presented by Sonia De Castelli, will be hosted again this year by the slopes of the riding school and will see the torchlight procession of the children and the choreographic performance by the instructors of the Limone Ski School starting from 6.30 pm, followed by a show with the laser and the grand finale with pyromusical fireworks.
At the end, hot chocolate and mulled wine will be distributed to all spectators. In case of impossibility to carry out the event, the event will be postponed to Saturday 4th January.
Also on Thursday 2nd January, at 9 pm, the show “Interno 12” will be staged at the Teatro Alla Confraternita, curated by the artists of “L’Ora canonica”: an opportunity to enter a cabaret-musical world of stories and gags. originals, songs, parodies, new secular parables and more.
On Friday, January 3rd at 9 pm, the Christmas Concert with the ensemble “La Voix Humaine” will be held at the Teatro Alla Confraternita. In the evening, Christmas songs, famous opera arias, operettas, musicals, melodies and famous classical songs will alternate.
On Saturday 4th January at 9 pm in the parish church of San Pietro you can attend the Christmas spiritual concert, with the choir “Pacem in terris”.
On Sunday 5th January, Piazza del Municipio will be transformed into an open-air ballroom to host the Silent Disco. Starting from 9 pm special headphones connected to the console will be distributed to the public which will allow everyone to dance to the notes of different musical genres.
From 21st December 2019 to 6th January 2020 in the Bottero gondola area there will be the Christmas Village in the snow with quality street food, live radio and numerous musical shows. During the opening hours of the lifts, from 8.30am to 5pm, the wooden houses will showcase the proposals of the exhibitors and for the little ones there will be a rich entertainment program with inflatables, face painting, baby dance and group games.
The exhibition “Limone loves Andy Warhol”, set up at the Grand Palais Excelsior, will also be open every day during the Christmas holidays. The exhibition, curated by the cultural associations “L’Onda” of Savigliano and “Ego Bianchi” of Cuneo, displays over 80 works by the American master dating back to the 60s, 70s and 80s, including Marilyn’s iconic screen-printed portraits Monroe, Mao Tse-tung and Mick Jagger. The exhibition, open to the public free of charge, will be open from 10am to 1pm and from 3 to 7pm.
