It targets 15 registered crews, almost doubling those of last year. Twelve months ago, dead boxes, hay bales, maxi-bottles, rustic beds, camping tents and cardboard ambulances (complete with siren) slid down the snowy slopes of Pineta Nord. Saturday 11th January the Pro loco of Pontechianale proposes one of the funniest events in the Varaita valley, loved by young people: “Scivolandia”. And it will be, in this edition more than ever, a challenge of creativity and joy.
THE NEW COURSE BRINGS BACK THE PASSION
After a period of pause, the “2.0” version of the most unpredictable race of the year confirms formula and location: under the leadership of Andrea Caponnetto, with the collaboration of Serena Scaffardi and DJ Johnny Manfredi, the crews are scheduled to start at8.30pm. A jury will evaluate, according to a precise grid, the descents of the competitors: the first group classified a fuel voucher worth 500 euros, the second a holiday coupon for a week-long stay for 2 adults and a child (value 400 euros) , on the third two paragliding flights Fly Expression. Pontechianale Neve prizes and bottles for the friendliest supporters. A souvenir-gift and a package-race for all participants.
The evening continues dancing with Johnny Manfredi in the Libac hall, a few steps from the slopes. Free admission and party until late at night with the music of the Movin ’On circuit, which organizes the Lake On Festival in August and the New Year in the village (over 300 people in the square spent the past New Year’s Eve dancing with Dj Pog).
