A look on Turin:Eataly Lingotto celebrates 13 years! Let’s have a look to the programme

Eataly Torino Lingotto turns 13 this year: from Thursday 9th January a month full of promotions, events and special initiatives to celebrate the birthday in the best way.

The highlight of the evening will be Monday 27th January: appointment from 7 pm with “Let’s do good things!”, an itinerant dinner with dishes of great Italian and foreign chefs, unique wines, music and entertainment with a beneficial flavour.

Part of the proceeds from the evening will in fact be donated to the Piedmontese Foundation for Cancer Research, Institute of Candiolo-IRCCS. Guests in the kitchen: CorradoAssenza (Caffè Sicilia, Noto), Matteo Baronetto (Del Cambio, Turin, 1 Michelin Star), Tim Butler (Eat me, Bangkok), Rob Roy Cameron (Gazelle, London), Loretta Fanella (Pastry Chef ), GianlucaGorini (DaGorini, S. Piero in Bagno, 1 Michelin Star), Cesare Grandi (La Limonaia, Turin), Paolo Griffa (Petit Royal, Courmayer, 1 Michelin Star), Alessandro Mecca (Space 7, Turin, 1 Star Michelin), Christian Milone (Trattoria Zappatori, Pinerolo, 1 Michelin Star), Massimiliano Prete (Sesto Gusto, Turin), Claudio and Anna Vicina (Casa Vicina, Turin, 1 Michelin Star), Rafael Zafra (Estimar, Barcelona), Federico Zanasi (Share, Turin, 1 Michelin Star). Here are the other scheduled events.

THE STORE TOUR: A walk around Eataly – A tasting tour in the Eataly Torino Lingotto departments and production laboratories, to discover the iconic Eataly products with tips and suggestions for the best purchases. Every Friday in January, at 7pm.

EXPERIENCES IN THE DEPARTMENTS – the opportunity to go to the other side of the counter in the live production laboratories to live a unique sensorial experience. The Experiences in Pizzeria to prepare the perfect dough and those with the sfogline of Plin, the pasta factory of the Alciati family, also continue in the new year. For the birthday also, here are two great news that always involve the Pasta Factory: the Gnocchi Experience begins, to learn the recipe for real Piedmontese gnocchi, obviously on Thursday evening. Furthermore, the pasta factory opens its doors free of charge for special visits to discover the history of Lidia Alciati, the “agnolotti Queen”.

THEMATIC DINNERS – from the Great Dinner of Oysters (an entire themed menu prepared by the head of the fish shops of Eataly, the fisherman NandoFiorentini) to dinner in the dark, in collaboration with A.S.D. Polisportiva UICI Torino Onlus. And then the themed dinners of the Turin bistro of Ugo Alciati (1 Michelin star in the kitchens of Da Guido Ristorante, Serralungad’Alba, CN): on Friday 17th the white truffle will be the protagonist, for a last exceptional menu; to follow on January 24 the Piedmontese boiled meat and finally on the 31st it will be the turn of Caviar and black truffle. Also on Friday 31 January the vegan dinner will also be held: a winter menu signed by chef Patrik Lisa that sees Piedmontese ingredients and dishes re-proposed in a Veg key, in combination with Bio wines.

THE COURSES – a special appointment with the AIS certified sommelier Silvio Locatelli, to toast the 13 years of Eataly with 4 great wines selected by the Cellar and in combination with 4 excellences of the Kitchens (A toast for Eataly, Thursday 23rd January at 18.30, 35 € The cooking course for the little ones is inevitable: on Sunday 26th January at 3pm the Eataly Teaching Teachers will help budding chefs to prepare the perfect birthday cake (Happy birthday! – € 18).

EVENINGS FROM THE BENCH TO THE TABLE – Four special evenings dedicated to the excellence of the fresh counters: meat, fish, cold cuts and cheeses and vegetables. Just choose the one you prefer from the counter and the chefs of Eataly Lingotto will cook it right now, at the counter price! Appointment every Friday evening at the Market Kitchens.

THE AUCTIONS – It is not a birthday without the big Auctions of Eataly Lingotto: it will be possible to win seasonal fruit and vegetables and the best catch of the day, with scoops in hand, at wholesale prices. The novelty of the season? An emotional journey of taste that will see different types of oysters at auction, Thursday 16th January at 5.30 pm at the Pescheria di Eataly.
