The screening in Monforte d’Alba at the auditorium of the Bottari Lattes Foundation (via Marconi 16) is double: Sunday, January 26th for the public, at 5.30 pm, preceded by an introduction by Professor Valter Boggione (free admission subject to availability) ; Tuesday 28th January at 9.30 for students of the schools of Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and La Morra, with an introduction by Professor Eva Vitali.
“Chi scriverà la nostra storia” , based on the homonym essay by Samuel D. Kassow, tells the story of the historian Emanuel Ringelblum, who secretly created an archive inside the Warsaw ghetto, which later proved to be one of the most important relating to the Holocaust. Through the voices of the three-time Oscar nominee Joan Allen and the Oscar-winner Andrien Brody, the film pays homage to the determination of men and women who have made it possible to create the largest collection of eyewitnesses who survived the war, an archive now become heritage Unesco.
