The concert will also be an opportunity to join or renew membership for the club of the Friends of Alba Music Festival, to whom the concert is offered free of charge, and will open the curtain on a program full of musical emotions, with over 80 appointments, which will accompany the 2020 of Alba and the territory of Langhe and Roero.
After the Concert of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles at the Social Theatre last February 1st and that of the Children’s Carnival, which will take place next Monday February 24th at the Ferrero Foundation, it will begin with Bacco & Orfeo – Sunday concerts, which will be held for six Sundays consecutive, from March 8th to April 12th, with the suggestive encounter between the god of music and that of wine.
The twelve concerts will take place at 11 am in the Church of San Giuseppe in Alba and in the afternoon at 4.30 pm in the Choir of the Braidese Church of Santa Chiara. At the end of each concert, lasting about 50 minutes, a glass of wine will be offered: a convivial occasion for artists and the public to meet, to get to know each other and share the pleasure of art. Every Sunday it will be dedicated to a different cellar with the comment of well-known sommeliers.
Andrea Bacchetti will play an intense and enjoyable program with Franz Schubert’s Improvvisi and five Preludes and Fugues by Johann Sebastian Bach, the greatest Baroque composer of whom our artist is considered a specialist in performing on the piano.
