From 15th to 19th January, the ATL of Cuneo participated in Vakantiebeurs (Utrecht), the main and traditional tourism fair in the Netherlands, a country that represents the fifth largest market in terms of presence in Italy. The participation was organized within the institutional stand of ENIT (Italian National Tourism Agency) and saw the ATL promoting the territory together with DMO – Piedmont (a tourism promotion and agri-food valorisation company headed by the Piedmont Region , operating in the promotion of the territory) and to the Consortium of Tour Operators of the Province of Cuneo – Cônitours. The fair saw an excellent flow of operators and professionals in the sector (journalists, tour operators, travel bloggers) thus representing an excellent opportunity to exchange information, ideas and contacts. From Thursday to Sunday the fair opened its doors to the public, allowing many potential tourists to gather information on our territory and to confront the staff on stands on possible itineraries and places to visit in the province of Cuneo. The Dutch public is particularly sensitive to issues such as cycling and hiking; a large audience of repeaters loves (re) returning to our valleys, showing pride in the places they have already visited, and in the emotions they experience.

On the same days, the ATL attended the Ferien trade fair in Vienna. The event, which represents the most important moment of tourism promotion in Austria, allowed to illustrate the outdoor tourism products of the Cuneo area together with the wide cultural, artistic and food and wine offer. A few weeks after the Austrian experience, the ATL has moved to the BIT – Milan International Tourism Exchange. “The theme proposed by the Piedmont Region for 2020 and presented at the BIT in Milan was the Baroque. In this area of offer – commented the Director Daniela Salvestrin – the Cuneo area can really excel thanks to the numerous churches, brotherhoods, chapels, sanctuaries that can already be visited through initiatives such as Magnificat and Infinitum, proposed within thematic visit itineraries or still proposed as suggestive locations for concerts with baroque influences. “

Expressly dedicated to the proposal of active holidays are F.RE.E. in Munich, a show that ATL has been participating in continuously since 2001, and the Cosmobike Show in Verona, which has now become the main exhibition dedicated to the world of cycle tourism in Italy.

“There will be many events that will take place again this spring 2020 and which will see the ATL of the Cuneo area protagonist with 12 participations in trade fairs in Italy, Germany and France promoting the naturalistic, artistic, gastronomic and cultural excellence of the province. ATL halls in the Cuneo area participate in a coordinated and synergistic way with colleagues from the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Authority under the aegis of the Association for Outdoor Tourism – WOW to promote the best for an active holiday in our territory with outdoor activities practicable on land and rock, in water and in the sky. ” concludes the President of the ATL Mauro Bernardi.
