The Milleunanota association has been organizing the International Jazz Day in Alba for 11 years: it was among the first cultural associations in Italy to do so, adhering to the values that this day communicates in the world with contemporary events and sharing of cultures.
This year we are proposing an unpublished online version of the event, on Thursday 30th April at 7pm, inviting viewers to donate to support the Italian Red Cross Local Committee of Alba instead of paying for a ticket. The video will be shared live on the Milleunanota Alba Facebook page and simultaneously in cross posting on the pages of the artists.
Musicians from the provinces of Cuneo and Asti and from Tuscany will intervene, and we will also have a contribution from Hong Kong.
From the province of Cuneo we will have guests Filippo Cosentino (guitar), Carlo Chirio (bass), Lorenzo Arese (drums): the trio of the Albese musician author of the bestselling album Baritune (Incipit / EgeaMusic), has recorded with him the forthcoming album Leave the thorn, take the rose for the Japanese label DaVici Publishing
From the province of Asti the saxophonist Giuseppe Di Filippo will intervene, a historical member of the formation of Carlo Actis Dato, who in recent weeks has released the first album in his own name, entitled Making Monsters (Hypogeum Records / DeVega) From Tuscany, Francesco Rainero, young songwriter who recently released his latest Generation album. The pianist Preston Lau will perform from Hong Kong together with the saxophonist Zoe NG, longtime friends of the Albese artist and artistic director of the association Filippo Cosentino.
