The digital Alba Cultura Web project was born: a collection of videos offered by the cultural services of the Municipality of Alba, currently closed to the public due to the ongoing health emergency, to continue to keep alive the contact with citizens, children and young people who they usually live and frequent these places. All these online activities will be uploaded to the new Alba Cultura Events YouTube channel which will be active from the first week of May.

The first to start will be the Giovanni Ferrero Civic Library which every Tuesday, from 5th May, will offer the video readings of Una storia tira l’altra, for children up to 6 years of age, as part of the Born to Read project. Thursday will instead be the day dedicated to children aged 7 to 11 who will be able to follow the video readings of Classics and magic with stories taken from international literature or who re-read the school subjects in a fun way, combined with cheerful tricks.

Music will find space on Friday with The Art of Listening, short forays into the musical world curated by Maestro Paolo Paglia and focused on listening and analysing numerous classic and contemporary pieces.

The Federico Eusebio Civic Museum is also part of the project and will offer the museum for children, recreational and recreational videos and Living the Museum every Wednesday to tell about some of the most important finds preserved in its rooms.

Furthermore, in order to better disseminate the Alba Cultura Web project but also all the cultural events and manifestations organized by the Department of Culture, the new Alba section has been created on the website of the Municipality of Alba www.comune.alba.cn.it Culture Events, easily accessible from the home page, where all the municipal cultural services converge, from the Library to the Museum, from the Social Theatre to the Musical Institute, passing through the Albese Museum System.

Within this new section, also accompanied by a renewed graphic design, a page is dedicated to city cultural associations with the main information on their activities and above all with direct access to their websites and their social pages.

The Facebook page @Alba Cultura Eventi remains active and, in addition to remembering what is organized directly by the Municipality, it will continue to act as a driving force for the proposals and events of the Albanian associations. The email to send all the materials and information to be published is cultura@comune.alba.cn.it.

Waiting to be able to reschedule the live events, the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Alba and the Beppe Fenoglio Study Centre offer a special edition of the White Night of the Libraries, which for the occasion, and thanks to the availability of the booksellers in Alba, will be transformed in an online marathon: a whole day with readings, interviews with authors, interventions by the same booksellers all linked to the common thread of the “rebirth”. The marathon scheduled for the end of May will be online on the Facebook page @Alba Cultura Eventi.

The Councilor for Cultural Services Carlotta Boffa comments: “At this time, which makes it difficult to organize live events, the most prestigious cultural places in the city are entering the homes of the Albese with culture pills offered online and dedicated to children and adults.

The contributions of the Lodovico Rocca Music Institute, which in the meantime has resumed teaching at a distance, and of the Teatro Sociale Giorgio Busca, which is already working to reprogram the shows skipped in the spring, will soon be added to the proposals of the Library and Museum.
