Despite the great health emergency that is afflicting our country, AmiCorti Film Festival has decided not to cancel the show, but to reinvent itself. The Festival, which will be held only on the evening of June 20th, changes the voting method of the Popular Jury.

AmiCorti Film Festival, the national and Republic of San Marino review dedicated to the world of short films, due to the Covid-19 emergency and the consequent health provisions, has been forced to change its programming for this 2020 edition.

It will no longer be held from 15th to 20th June, but will take place in the prize-giving evening on 20th June in Piazza Pietro Toselli, in Peveragno.

Furthermore, also the voting method of the Popular Jury, in charge of choosing one of the two winners of the AmiCorti section, will be different: the twelve finalists will be viewed by a Popular Jury composed of fifteen members who will decide the winner of the Popular Jury Prize (prize 300 euros).

The committee will give one short to one vote for each short, and the short film with the highest score will be the winner. Due to difficulties and measures related to film production and distribution, the scheduled online voting on the YouTube short film AmiCorti Festival channel will therefore no longer be possible.

“Faced with the hypothesis of seeing the Festival cancelled, for which we have been working for months,” says Ntrita Rossi, Artistic Director of AmiCorti Film Festival, “we have decided to reinvent ourselves. Unfortunately, due to the current emergency situation, the initial voting method of the Popular Jury, which provided for the vote “live” from the Piazza, was not feasible. Even the alternative solution of online viewing has unfortunately not been feasible. We have therefore decided to appoint fifteen jurors who, once viewed the finalists, will have the arduous task of awarding the Prize. Good luck to all the participants!”
