You will never get bored in the Acaja town! In addition to the classic antique market that takes place every 3rd Sunday of the month, there are many other events for all tastes.

The Night of the Towers

On Friday 6th September the Colorado comedians and the Zoo of  Radio 105 will be the protagonists of the first edition of the Night of the Towers: an evening dedicated to music and fun. The will start with the aperitifs in the central via Roma and then i twill offer the public a wide choice of shows. Light and classical music, traditional choirs and DJ Show are scheduled, in addition to the double date with comedy and laughter.

6.30 pm – Opening of the event with the aperitifs in via Roma.
7.30 pm  – The musical duo of Pino Colucci and Alessandra Di Liddo will perform in Largo degli Eroi (Bastione).
8.00 pm  – First show with the Colorado comedians (45 min) in piazza Manfredi. On the stage: Mauro Villata, Massimo De Rosa and Marco Turano.
8.30 pm  – The Alpini della piana cuneese will perform in piazza della Chiesa dei Battuti Rossi.
9.00 pm  – The FFM Classica Orchestra, directed by Julius Kalmar, in Piazza XXVII Marzo (Piazza delle Uova).
10.30 pm – Second show with the Colorado comedians in piazza Manfredi.
10.45 pm  – DJ Show with the Zoo of Radio 105 in piazza Castello. Special guest Carolina Marquez.

Admission free for all the events and shows.

The Courtyards of the Tango 2019

Saturday, September 7th, from 10 to late at night, the sixth edition of “I Cortili del Tango“. Enjoy in the streets and squares of the city a day of free shows dedicated to the Argentine tango culture. Not only performances, but also free tango in the streets, theatre, stage, music and the now acclaimed milonga, but also folklore in all its nuances. A variety of dance groups, from Argentineans to Senegalese, will meet to recount the contaminations that characterized the very birth of tango, not only as a dance but as a way of meeting and integration. We will therefore go to the heart of Tango, in its deepest, most true, alive and pulsating origins.

Among the special guests important names like Magdalena Gutierrez and German Ballejo.

This event of free performances in the streets of the historical centre of Fossano requires a special dress code: all colours polka dot clothing and/or accessories.

Bastiòn Cuntràri stories

Sunday, September 15th, on the rampart of Largo degli Eroi, will take place a day dedicated to the topic of the demolition of physical and relational walls.

From 10 am to 12.30 and from 3.30 pm to 5 pm, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, eight “Bastian cuntrari“, or rather people who oppose the mass, will bring their personal stories to teach them to overcome barriers.

Art, thanks to the “Museo Diocesano Social Club“ will frame their stories. A project of inclusion, culture,  fragility and paths through the personal interpretation of works of art.

Stories of Bastiòn Cuntràri is part of the “C Shipyard”, a project by the NoiAltri Foundation which provides a series of monthly meetings in order to grow the culture of gift in the community, increasing participation, active citizenship and involving more and more new ones generated in volunteering and in associations.

Run Around at the Castle

The 5th Run Around is a competitive road race with a relay race open to all athletes with a regular Competitive Medical Certificate. Each relay race will have to be composed of two athletes, the race will take place on a city loop route of mt. 800, developed on “up-and-down” latches all around the Acaja Castle, with change for each lap and with a ranking based on the number of laps each relay took. In the event of a tie, the final time will be the valid one. The chip timing service will be handled by WEDO Sport.

Competitors do not necessarily have to be members of sporting bodies or companies, but are obliged to hand over the medical certificate for competitive sporting activity for athletics during registration. The UISP regulation will be applied for all matters not expressly mentioned.

Two race rounds are scheduled:

– at 7 pm for competitors aged between 16 and 18 (duration 30 minutes);
– at 8 pm for those over 18 (duration 60 minutes).
