The Vinum National Fair is a unique opportunity to experience the emotions that the aromas and tastes of the food and wine excellence of the area can transmit in an engaging and delicious itinerary to discover the historic centre of Alba.
For two consecutive weekends the streets of Alba are invaded by tourists, enthusiasts, gourmets and curious people who have the opportunity to taste the best products of these hills.
This traditional Spring Fair has its roots in the ancient Easter Wine Fair. Born as a review of the wines of the last harvest which, generally, were bottled in April.
There are numerous appointments: gastronomic events, tastings of the DOC and DOCG wines of the area, guided tours, street theatre, markets and fairs that accompany in two consecutive weekends, not only tourists, but also the simple curious.
Walking through the streets of the historic centre you can find several tasting points, which allow you to taste the great wines of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
There is no shortage of prestigious Piedmontese cheeses, offered in conjunction with wines by the Sommeliers of the Ais (Italian Sommelier Association) and by the tasters Onaf (National Organization of Cheese Tasters).
To taste wines, cheeses and other products such as grappa, it is necessary to purchase the tasting booklet, which includes the glass, the goblet pocket and discounts on museums.
Furthermore, around the city, numerous stands of the Street Food ëdLanga®, ideal for tasting the delicacies of the area, and the Earth Market with km0 products.

Wine tasting.
The great red wines of the Langhe such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, the whites of the Langhe, the wines of Monferrato, Roero, Roero Arneis, Gavi and Brachetto, Dolcetto, Asti Spumante, Moscato d Asti and the Alta Langa without forgetting the grappas and spirits of Piedmont are at the center of the tastings offered from 10.30 to 20.00 at the tasting tables in the historic center of the city of 100 towers and are also in this edition guided and curated by AIS Associazione Italian Sommelier.
Vinumincantina
VINUMINCANTINA – FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE is an experience designed to meet the needs of wine tourists and gourmets. With VINUMINCANTINA you have the opportunity to visit some of the most important wineries of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato selected by great chefs who, at the end of the tour, will prepare a special aperitif paired with the wine of the host company. The experience is complete with a round-trip shuttle service from Alba.
STREET FOOD ËD LANGA
In combination with the local wines, each square of Vinum presents Street FoodëdLanga: territorial finger food of the highest quality. Maximum expression of our gastronomic tradition, Street FoodëdLanga uses raw materials and local products.
Served in single portions, it allows you to taste the delicacies of our land walking through the city and sipping a glass of wine: gnocchi with black truffle, egg or tomino with black truffle, Piedmontese mixed fried food, agnolottistuffed with Piedmontesefassona meat, meatballs Langa, hazelnut cake with eggnog or chocolate, Madernassa del Roero pear …
Workshop: Local cheeses and Piedmont wines.
ONAF (National Organization of Cheese Tasters) takes care of a series of workshops on cheeses accompanied by wine tastings led by a sommelier.
A meeting where knowledge through the tasting of cheeses paired with the great local wines becomes pleasure.
Appetizers
At public shops in the historic center of Alba, the Alta Langa DOCG combined with delicious finger food. The initiative is organized in collaboration with the ACA and the Traders Association of the “Alba sotto le Torri” Historic Center.
VINUM LAB
A great news at the Cortile dellaMaddalena: Vinum Lab in the Beppe Fenoglio room provides thematic workshops on the world of wine and insights on the native Piedmontesevines.WithVinum, you will also meet many opportunities to study the world of wine, workshops and literary presentations to learn about history and the culture of the winemaking tradition.
VinumKids
Children are the future users and administrators of our territory, but to manage it better one day they must learn to know it right now. The VINUM BIMBI project aims to present children with the “wine value” for the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato territory through one of their most congenial activities: play. The layout of the play areas will have the theme “the wooden game” (games made by hand at KM zero) to present children with a new / ancient way of playing: you can also have fun with pieces of wood and without electronics!
