The Poderi Aldo Conterno is an historical winery of Monforte d’Alba, founded in the XIX century. Giovanni Conterno started to cultivate his father’s lands and enhanced the productions, starting bottling the Barolo for the first time; it was a great wine with a long lasting persistence, optimum for a long ageing, thanks to his intuition was born the Barolo Riserva. In the ‘30s, Giovanni gave the company to his son Giacomo, who was then helped by Giovanni and Aldo, his sons. Aldo wanted to start a new independent project which culminated with the foundation of his own company at the end of the ‘60s, the Poderi Aldo Conterno. Today this winery is managed with passion and success by the sons, Aldo, Franco, Stefano and Giacomo, thanks to the fruits of one of the most famous vineyards: the special Bussia.
