Damilano is one of the most important historical wineries in Barolo. the secret of this family is the high-quality of the wines, which are produces using only selected grapes. Damilano’s best qualities are the attention to the products and the respect of the prestigious vineyards, which are located in important areas, famous for the Nebbiolo grape types, such as Crus Cannubi, Liste, Brunate and Cerequio.

Winemaking
The fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature and it lasts 20 days.
Maturation
24 months into big barrels while the ageing period lasts 12 months.
Main features
Grenade red colour which becomes orange with the ageing; intense scent with violets and balsamic notes; the taste is elegant and persistent, it varies from red fruits to tobacco and liquorice flavour, with notes of truffles and cinnamon.

The Barolo is a red wine, recognised with the Appellation Denomination Origin (AOC or DOC in Italian) produced in some municipalities of Piedmont. The original area of the grape types suitable for the Barolo DOC, recognised on 31st August 1933, includes the territories of the following municipalities: Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga D’Alba and part of La Morra, Monforte D’Alba, Roddi, Verduno, Cherasco, Diano d’Alba, Novello and Grinzane Cavour, all located in the Cuneo province.
